Breathable Mesh Dog Harness
Cooling step-in vest for everyday walks and secure car journeys
The Breathable Mesh Dog Harness is a lightweight, step-in cooling vest designed for dogs who walk, ride and travel alongside you. Built from soft, open-weave air mesh with adjustable chest straps and a stainless steel back D-ring, it keeps your dog cool and comfortable on the lead while doubling as a safe attachment point for a car seat-belt restraint. In short: one easy-fit harness for cooler walks and calmer, safer drives.
01A cooler, calmer way to walk and travel
Some harnesses trap heat and tug at the neck. This one does the opposite. The open-weave air mesh lets the breeze move through the fabric, spreading pressure gently across the chest rather than pulling on the throat. The result is a dog who feels cooler, calmer and more comfortable — across the park on a warm afternoon or settled in the back of the car on a longer drive.
Comfort that breathes, security you can clip on in seconds.
02Designed to keep your dog cool
The lightweight air-mesh body is the heart of this cooling dog harness. Its breathable construction allows constant airflow around the body, helping to prevent overheating on warm days while staying soft against the skin. It is an ideal choice for British summers and warmer indoor spaces, yet light enough to wear comfortably all year round — from sunny morning walks to quick winter errands. As a breathable mesh dog harness, it is purpose-built for owners who want airflow without sacrificing a secure fit.
03Secure where it counts
Comfort should never come at the cost of control. A sturdy stainless steel D-ring sits on the back for your lead, paired with a strong, high-capacity buckle that clicks firmly into place and holds. The adjustable straps let you dial in a snug, reassuring fit around the chest and body, so your dog moves freely without slipping loose or backing out. The broad mesh panel distributes pressure across the chest, giving you the gentler, more even feel owners look for in a comfortable, no-pull-style adjustable dog harness.
04Travel-ready for safer car journeys
Your dog deserves to be more than a loose passenger. The reinforced back D-ring gives you a dependable point to attach a seat-belt restraint, so this works as a practical dog car harness as well as a walking vest. That helps keep your dog safely positioned during the drive — less roaming, fewer distractions, and a calmer trip for everyone in the car. For owners searching for a dog seat belt harness that is also kind to wear, it covers both jobs in one piece of kit.
05Step in, clip on, go
No fuss, no wrestling. The easy step-in dog harness design and quick-release buckle mean your dog is ready in seconds — ideal for excitable puppies and patient seniors alike. It is light to carry, simple to store, and gentle enough for dogs who dislike heavier gear.
06A great fit for small breeds and puppies
The soft, contoured shape suits small and growing dogs especially well, making it a comfortable small dog harness and a gentle first puppy harness. It is a natural pick for breeds such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, Chihuahuas, Dachshunds and Cockapoos, as well as puppies taking their first trips out on the lead and in the car.

09Frequently asked questions
Is a mesh dog harness good for hot weather?
Yes. The breathable air-mesh fabric allows airflow around your dog's body, helping to keep them cool and comfortable in summer while staying soft enough to wear all year round.
Can I use this harness for car travel?
Yes. The sturdy stainless steel back D-ring lets you attach a separate seat-belt restraint, helping keep your dog secured and positioned during the journey instead of moving freely around the car.
Will it suit small breeds and puppies?
It is especially well suited to small and growing dogs such as Pugs, French Bulldogs, Chihuahuas and Dachshunds, as well as puppies getting used to wearing a harness for the first time.
How do I choose the right size?
Measure your dog's chest first and use the neck measurement as a secondary check. Choose by chest size for the best fit — Size Small fits a 49–62 cm chest — and treat weight as a rough guide only.
Is it easy to put on?
Very. The step-in design and quick-release buckle make fitting fast and stress-free, even for wriggly puppies, so your dog is ready to go in seconds.
Do you deliver across the UK?
Yes. We offer fast UK dispatch with free UK shipping, supported by a UK-based customer service team if you have any questions.
Give your dog the cooler, calmer comfort they deserve — on every walk and every journey.
Questions from Dog Owners
Choosing the right car seat for your dog is about more than comfort — it's about keeping them, and you, safe on every journey. Every seat we sell is built to hold up properly if you brake suddenly, and is designed with UK travel laws in mind, so your dog stays secure without feeling restricted. Below are the questions our customers ask us most often, answered in plain terms.
Yes, provided the seat is fitted correctly and matches your dog's weight. A good car seat keeps your dog from being thrown forward in an emergency stop and stops them climbing into the footwell or onto your lap while you're driving. Look for one with a secure seatbelt strap and a sturdy internal harness clip, rather than just a soft bed with no restraint.
The Highway Code (Rule 57) states that dogs must be suitably restrained so they can't distract you while driving or injure you and themselves if you stop suddenly. It doesn't specify an exact product, but a car seat, harness or crate that keeps your dog in place is generally considered compliant. Driving with an unrestrained dog can also affect your car insurance if you're involved in an accident.
It's best avoided. Airbags are designed for adult passengers and can seriously injure a smaller animal if they deploy. Dogs are also more likely to distract the driver from the front seat. If a front seat is genuinely your only option, disable the airbag first and use a properly fitted harness or seat, but the back seat is safer whenever you can manage it.
Small dogs generally do best in a raised booster-style seat rather than a flat bed, as it lets them see out of the window, which many find calming, while still keeping them clipped in. Look for a seat with padded sides so they can't be jolted around, and a base wide enough that it doesn't tip when your dog shifts position.
Larger breeds are usually more comfortable in a full-width rear seat cover combined with a harness that clips to the seatbelt, rather than a raised booster. This gives them room to lie down on longer journeys while still being restrained. Check the weight rating carefully, as not every seat on the market is built to hold a dog over 25kg securely.
Start with your dog's weight and size, then think about how they travel — nervous dogs often prefer a raised, enclosed seat, while relaxed dogs may be happy with a flatter bed style. Check that the seat attaches to your existing seatbelt rather than relying on loose straps, and make sure it's machine washable, since muddy paws are inevitable.
Weigh your dog and measure them from nose to tail base while standing, then check this against the size chart on each product page rather than going by breed alone, as weight varies a lot within breeds. If your dog is between two sizes, it's usually better to size up slightly so they have room to settle rather than feeling boxed in.
They solve different problems. A hammock protects your seats and stops your dog falling into the footwell, but it doesn't usually restrain them on its own. A car seat clips into the seatbelt and keeps your dog in one place. Some owners use both together — a hammock for the seat protection and a harness clip for the restraint.
Most of our seats sit directly on the back seat and secure using your car's existing seatbelt threaded through the base straps, so no tools or fixings are needed. Once it's pulled tight and doesn't slide, clip your dog's harness to the internal safety tether. It typically takes a couple of minutes once you've done it the first time.
There's no single law naming "seatbelts for dogs" specifically, but the Highway Code requires dogs to be suitably restrained in a moving vehicle. A harness that clips to the seatbelt, a car seat with a built-in tether, or a secured crate all satisfy this. Leaving your dog completely loose in the car is what the law is aimed at preventing.
Our car seats are designed for standard car seatbelts, so they're not suitable for motorbikes. In a van, they'll work fine as long as the rear or front seats have a proper three-point seatbelt to thread the straps through — flat cargo areas without seatbelt points aren't a suitable fit.
Yes, our smaller seats work well for cats, particularly nervous travellers who feel safer raised up and able to see out. Just check the weight and size guide first, and keep in mind most cats settle better with the sides zipped up rather than left open, unlike most dogs.
For most healthy adult dogs, a few hours is perfectly fine, but it's worth stopping every couple of hours on longer trips so they can stretch, drink water and go to the toilet, the same as you would with a young child. Puppies and older dogs generally need shorter stretches and more frequent breaks.
Most covers unzip from the frame and can go straight into the washing machine on a cool, gentle cycle. Give the base a quick wipe with a damp cloth first to remove any loose mud or fur, and let the cover air dry fully before zipping it back on to avoid any musty smell.
Nervous dogs often do better in a seat with raised, padded sides, which feels more like a den than an open platform. Being able to see out of the window also helps some dogs settle, while others prefer a bit more enclosure. It's worth pairing the seat with a blanket or item that smells familiar for the first few trips.
Start with short trips of five to ten minutes so your puppy associates the car with something other than the vet. Let them explore the parked car and the seat first without the engine running, then build up gradually. Keeping the same seat for every journey helps them settle faster, since it starts to feel familiar rather than new each time.
